While the company is great the site I work could be way better. There is a good old boys club feeling and if you don't fit in you won't go anywhere within the site.

Pros Great benefits. Cons Site management. This company is a good company to work for, but some locations have their own culture. Great company overall, the benefits are great , but some sites are allowed to have a culture that is not in keeping with the overall company culture.

I interned here twice. I had little support from my managers. There were no opportunities to grow and develop. I was bored all day despite trying to ask for more work constantly.

Car Loader. Chemical Operator. Production Operator I. Management had their favorites. Decent pay. Old equipment. Needs alot of money put in. Race was an issue with the older generation. Pros Laid back. Cons Management. Safety is first. Managers are good. Shift work can be wild at times. Overall a very good company with good people. At times there are too many meeting for technicians and engineers that takes away from important work.

Pros Great benefits, Great pay. Cons Too much Overtime at times. BASF was an awesome place to work in the past. Company has joined the trend of wokeness currenlty happening in the US. A Conservatives nightmare. BASF preaches inclusion unless you are a white male conservative, then you dont count. Site managment creates an unhealthy and stressful work environment. Management has Lack of practical knowledge and experience which is leading to the departure of experienced employees.

Site is doomed to fail unless changes in management occur. Pros Salary and Benifits. You are challenged every day to make your work place better.

Safety is their top priority and you are expected to follow procedures and policies all the time, no exception - keeps coworkers safe. The company benefits are the best in the community. You can advance if you do your job. Pros Benefits, pay are great. Cons Swing shifts - but not that bad. The benefits are great! Pay not so good compared to another chemical companies. The work load is also heavy. Prepare to be on your feet the full 12 hours.

Cons Pay, 12hr shifts. The safety culture is the best I have ever been a part of, And the employees have the best plant manager around in Jerome. Its hot in the summer and cold in the winter inside the converse facility, But if your willing to learn and work then you would fit in at BASF Converse. Pros Good benefits and pay. Great safety culture. However, over the last 5 years and new hire management, BASF has disconnected from a "family environment" to a company that doesn't value the person - "everybody is replaceable".

I regret taking a job with BASF. Looks good on paper, ethics policy requires employees to complete annual training.

Management doesn't practice what they teach. Pros Good pay. There was no formal training process or designated trainer when I started. The crews and supervisors are dedicated to getting the job done. Everyone takes their job serious. There was no slacking or issues. I loved it! BASF is a great place to work. I am no longer there due to my health.

The hours are there if u want to work. I will miss everyone. Pros Free lunch when you work long hours. Cons Sometimes you are on 16 hr shift and have to turn around and be back for a 8 hr shift. Do as I say leadership, not as I do. Hypocritical and double standards with any and all leadership. No matter how bad or wrong the shift leader or managers are you are wrong for saying anything about them.

Pros Anyone not in management. Cons Everyone in management and you will never get full top pay ever. People that put time in are almost never chosen for advancement. The employees suggestions for improving operations are not taken into account by management.

They focus on safety, which is good, but when it comes to stopping operations when there is an issue they will ignore safety issues to continue. Pros Easy to get time off. Cons Dont practice what they preach.
