Cleveland iop

This is a short-term program and the estimated length of stay is approximately six to eight weeks. Patients are seen by the team psychiatrist on a weekly basis for medication management. Each patient has an individualized treatment plan and, prior to discharge, appointments for follow-up care are facilitated in order to ensure continuity of care.

A comprehensive assessment of the patient is required for admission to the IOP. Click here to schedule your intake assessment. The IOP treats a number of mental health conditions. The list below is for reference; admission to the IOP is based on the intake assessment and the clinical judgment of the IOP team.

If you are struggling with an active Substance Use Disorder, please contact our Addiction Recovery Services program for an intake assessment. Enrollment is always open, with referrals coming from both inpatient units and outpatient providers.

There is no waiting list. Average attendance is eight to 10 teens per session. A psychiatrist or nurse practitioner provides regular medication management. The average length of stay in the adolescent IOP is 20 sessions — about five weeks. Patients then return to regular outpatient care. Often we find that parents are uninformed or misinformed about diagnosis, treatment and how to best support their teen with a mood disorder.

But parental involvement is an important part of treating these kids. I tell them that they and their kids are a team, and kids are reliant on parents to do their part, especially when they live in the same household. An intensive outpatient program can help you further cement your healthy coping skills as you transition back into everyday life. While in our intensive outpatient program, our guests participate in 10 to 12 hours of group therapy each week.

In addition, individual therapy sessions are provided, during which our guests and therapists can work through personal issues such as past trauma or mental health conditions.

We also encourage clients to participate in a step program, such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. As such, you spend more time in treatment every week. However, the extra time can help you build the coping skills you need to resist cravings and the urge to relapse.

Above all, we will help you learn the triggers and root causes of your addiction. Then, our therapists and counselors can guide you to the skills and behaviors that lead to lifelong sobriety.
